Sedation

Sedation

For those patients who suffer from dental anxiety, we offer both oral sedation and nitrous oxide (laughing gas) sedation.

With oral sedation, we prescribe a medication for you to take before your appointment. Because of the relaxing effects of this little pill, someone must drive you to and from our office. During treatment, you will be completely relaxed. You may even drift off to sleep. You’ll awake with your treatment complete and no memory of your visit.

Nitrous oxide sedation is administered in the office via a mask worn over your nose while in treatment. The gas will completely ease any worries and help you drift peacefully while we take care of your dental needs. You are able to drive shortly after having nitrous oxide sedation.
